Chitharesh Natesan, a Delhi-based bodybuilder from Vaduthala in Ernakulam, became the first Indian to win the Mr Universe 2019 crown





Chitharesh Natesan, a Delhi-based bodybuilder from Vaduthala in Ernakulam, became the first Indian to win the Mr Universe 2019 crown at the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship that was staged in Jeju, South Korea this week. Natesan won the Mr World 2019 title in the 90 kg division category and competed with the Mr World 2019 winners from other weight categories to emerge as the overall winner to win the Mr Universe 2019.
India finished second in the Championship with 23 medals including six gold, 13 silver and four bronze medals. They also came second in the team championship, with Thailand coming first. Thirty-eight nations participated in the event that is held every year.
